My cache directory do not have any cloud databases. Wtf, why were there versions on Win 7 within versions. I tried to do this and almost got to the end, but don't understand what this last thing means: "summon an Open / Save dialog box again". But I've noticed this with a lot of my other folders…Windows wanting to display everything as a picture when I have mostly documents.

This should have an instant effect (the next time you add files to the folder since the thumbnails are otherwise cached anyway).

Thanks. Makes no sense, right? General Support Slow booting. When I'm navigating through folders it takes a lot to reflect the changes, it just freeze.

On either of those settings it will try to generate thumbnails for all your files (even when they are not pictures or videos) and take away precious seconds of your time, Some time ago, AppleCare walked me thorough the steps above (although I had already had temporary success with that).
