This is what worked for me: Right click "Start" and select "Control Panel" (Open classic Control Panel) In the right corner -> View by: "Small Icons" Display Change Display Settings Now I checked everything. I downgraded the driver to the previous version (release date of 17th June, 2016) and every thing is fine. To get three monitors running on Windows 7 using two separate graphics cards I had to enter the BIOS and enable the on board graphics card. But after i upgraded the AMD driver i can only use to monitors at the time.
- Have installed the latest driver but Catalyst (15.7.1) continues to tell me I have to disable a previous desktop or display to activate the third. 1 of 1 people found this
- Looks like at least with AMD the first 2 monitors can be any connection but thereafter the monitors need to be connected with a displayport connection.

I'll mess with it for a few hour tomorrow but my initial guess is that this is goign to be a fail experiment for my setup. So today I tried to play and stream Star Was - The Old Republic, which opens a launcher on my desktop.
I was able to get all three monitors working, with Cat 15.7.1, with little effort and no problem. If that doesn't help please boot with drm.debug=0xe added to your kernel cmdline, reproduce the issue (using raw xrandr, no gui tools) and then attach the output of dmesg. If I unplug the monitors and only plug in one at a time each is recognized independently as an extended display but I can't get more than 2 monitors detected. Problem fixed after over 2 weeks of searching and trying various 'solutions'. I've searched high and low and I can't figure out why that is so I've given up on DisplayPort.
