Try disabling it in your virus software's options. I do thank you for the insight and time. If the web site hangs Firefox (you can't even exit Firefox) try running in Safe Mode and see if you can get an Unresponsive Script Warning. Please help me! Source
Once installed use keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+Alt+R" to close and restart or use the Tools menu item "Restart Firefox". not really. I am finding 3.6.13 very unstable. Clicking the button didn't help.

Tested with Firefox 28 on OS X 10.9.2. But clicking on anything on firefox won't give any graphical feedback. Unless you find some other adjustments withing FireFox, I guess this will be all that can be done. I'll keep watching it.
- I have never had an issue with firefox in the past (beyond the usual freezing and some obvious issues with pop up ads that are par for the course with firefox
